Lose touch of his dad's hand

a poem by Charles Fisher, UK

Lose the touch of
his dad's hand the child did
alone the child stand
separation
dis connect
Which way does the child turn?
His dad cannot be far away
Run in the crowd.;in
no set direction the child run
The gift of security his dad hand is
The gift of touch
The gift of love
Now there's no gift
There is just a rift
The hand of love vanish
The child cannot see further
than the strangers hands that's every where
But where is dad's hand of love? The
child ask his self over and over,
that hand of love, a precious hand, a
precious gift that gift is gone
But gone where?
The child runs in despair in
the crowded street
The rift is etched in the boy's tears
