DAFT DOG (alliteration)

a poem by Jacinta Ramayah, Malaysia - poetry writer, author, poet

That dog of a Dalmatian
is drooling and dripping,
It dives into a dirty ditch
but dislikes a drenching.

It damages the daffodil
and devours the daisy,
It dashes down the drive
way, I daresay its dotty.

It disturbs the donkey,
the duck and duckling,
But dotes on my dame,
and daughter-darling,

It dozes during the day
is disquiet at dawning,
And from dusk to dawn
it defends our dwelling.
