Easter Is A Miracle Everybody Shares

a poem by Keith Lumbard, UK

On this day though not our time,
Back in years bygone,
There upon his burdened cross,
Example made amidst a throng,

On Calvary hill there crucified,
Pierced by nails and tightly bound,
With sceptre made of read to hold,
With thorn and thistle he was crowned,

There he called “My God, My God”
Suffering there consciously,
“I've taken on the sins of man,
Why have you forsaken me?
They take my robe affix a sign,
Divide my garments to,
Father please forgive them for,
They know not what they do”

Between two thieves upon the cross,
Jesus died that day,
Three days on he lived once more,
So the scriptures say,

He gave his life for all mankind,
Our second chance to be,
To follow truth, to be as one,
His father’s family,

So at this very special time,
Remember in your prayers,
Easter is a miracle,
That everybody shares.

Happy Easter one and all. :)
