a poem by Michelle Klemm, Germany - poetry writer, author, poet

The cornfield golden lies before me,
it reaches to the blue canopy.
Everywhere corn poppies are shimmering.
In the summer heat the air is glimmering.
The crickets are chirping their song,
announcing summer has come.
The wind is swaying the ears softly.
If only a painter I could be,
right here I would pause,
to capture this beauty on my linen cloth.

Early spring
Beauty of Nature
Falling leaves
