A FRIENDLY CALL

a poem by Edwin Keith Jepson, UK - poetry writer, author, poet

One minute youre up
Next minute youre down
And a smiling face
Becomes a frown
Then suddenly a ringing tone
Brings to life your mobile phone
A call from a friend
Asking how you are
Boosts your morale
Even though
Youre feeling a bit below par
Then text messages
Come in full flow
And you find the will power
To let them know
Pessimistic changes disappear
And you feel no longer alone
What would I do
You ask yourself
If I hadnt a mobile phone
