Sweet Secrets

a poem by Michelle Klemm, Germany - poetry writer, author, poet

I know something
you don't know,
a secret thing,
hidden inside me.

It's hard to hide
a secret thing...
It wants to got out,
I fear I'm bursting.

It pinches and hurts
like I am grilled;
just one false word...
I gave myself away.

Now I will share
the secret with you
and I hope it will stay
deep inside you.

On your face is lying
a whimsical smile,
cause you know something,
the others don't know.
