The river clyde awake

a poem by Charles Fisher, UK

The evening night hide the morning sun
In that morning sun the River Clyde awake
The boats swayed with the sea ripples
The rippled waves swayed with the summer breeze
The morning sun lit up the start of the day
Its sun shine rays lit up the waters
That this picture scene lit up the sun's face
Traces of small clouds came and went away
Went away far away never to return
The blue sky did not go away
The sun and the water and the blue sky met
A brief meeting that the three of them
Will always remember how the three of them
Touched the River Clyde in a special way
A special way A special way that's now gone
As the evening hid the day
