a poem by Edwin Keith Jepson, UK - poetry writer, author, poet

I wish I had a magic pen
That would write different
Stories again and again
Stories of Robin Hood
And his merry men
How I wish I had a magic pen
I would write stories
About famous women
And daring brave men
If I was blessed
With a magic pen
I could write stories
Which have never been told
Maybe tales of the future
And thousands of old
Intrigue and romance
Heroics and space
Exploring foreign countries
That would make your heart race
The Amazon
Darkest Africa
These all spring to mind
There must be some stories
Unfortunately were left behind
It would definitely help me
In my quest no matter when
If I became the possessor
Of that elusive
Magical Pen
