a poem by Edwin Keith Jepson, UK - poetry writer, author, poet

They are closing down
The Post Office
Like the pits
They did years go
Who do these people
Think they are
Dont they ever think
We have a right to know
Could it be they dont
Even care
As long as they
Make all the rules
Its obvious they dont
Play fair
And they must think
We are ignorant fools
Hundreds of people
From all walks of life
Are happy with the standards
That the Post Office brings
So why dont those know alls
Leave them alone
by finding other solutions
To far worser things
