Tears Of A Broken Soul

a poem by Joseph Chukwudiegwu Osita, Nigeria

Those olive tender arms in lonely nights
Stroking my hairy chest I can never forget
Those funny plays at night
Throwing pillows and roaring laughers I can never forget
They say you are dead but not in my heart

Those sweet moments at beach, half-naked
Absorbing touches of nature I can never forget
Can you remember those paintings, those objects,
The paradise created by our own hands for I can never forget?
For as time ticks, memory of you champions my broken soul

Can you remember those summer night longings?
Counting the stars and watching fireflies concert
I still remember that sweet voice I loved hearing
For you are still there in my heart
