a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

I am as they called me
until that moment of Sometimes
when I become;
merely light
within the vessel of Eternity
merely waves
breaking upon the hull of time
becoming foam bubbles
nothing in the disappearance.

I am as I stand
within the life of this Age
until a moment of separation
when I become;
merely words as they feel
unidentified noises in the night
wings taking flight
constant stroke of a clock
sediment becoming rock
planet floating through space.

I am and then again
it's nothing to be sometimes;
as my nature intended
solace of truth defended
warmth of battles healed
clarity of Winters frost
boy in childhood lost
my name but gone with stone
these moments of truth alone
merely words as they feel.
