Vagrant..

a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

Tears
no longer needed to cry
rhymes remain
where illusion falters
true wings
shielded from wind
hateful beauty
defined to begin

an articulate nothing
fought
through pure denial
threshold-tasting wisdom,
its mouth defiled
insanity mocking a noise
original thought
destroying toys

lies
that children tell
vagrants in a living hell
nothing
and all they
might choose it to be
rhapsody
becomes enshrined
watchful anger
within love divine

kindness shared
with an abused child
torment
learning a runners stride
winters
without the ache of snow
all the love
a heart can know
wonder pushed headfirst
into the nearest wall

still dreams silently chased
hungers compassion
for a greedy face
guardian angel
coveting devils purse
careful scientist
in love with fairytale

diversity
making soul complete
trust breathing slow exhale
her tender voice
heard beyond its dreaming
echoes of times path unseen
quiet reflection
of the infinite mind

aspiration
beyond sorrows comparison
life born to this Earth
child forever
in wonders birth
eternity
waiting upon a single sky
human being
never described..
