a poem by Nishu Mathur, India

Sweet words, that sweeter sound,
A pledge of vows, hopes abound,
Whispers promise a love beyond,
Sealed with a kiss, but a fragile bond.

Hands held in a warm grasp,
Smiles, soft, lingering, bask,
But ties are more than mere words,
Asks that often go unheard.

Care, understanding, sacrifice,
An unsaid quiet compromise,
Appreciation, deep respect..
Each the other would reflect.

Fragile bonds, fragile ties,
Sealed with empty words that lie,
Crumble like a pack of cards,
A game played by frivolous hearts.

I may be lying in the gutter but I am looking up at the stars( take 2)
All for you
