a poem by Leif Phillips, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

Old mother duck
drove a pick up truck
to pick up her neice
who was buying a fleece
for her new baby child
born in the wild
Slow brother dog
drove a mean looking hog
to pick up his dad
who was all leather clad
lives almost the same
the wild and the tame
Sweet uncle man
drove everything he can
to make it all all right
to mark the day and night
with roads so well lit
the animals would have a fit
