a poem by Edwin Keith Jepson, UK - poetry writer, author, poet

In the woodlands,
'Neath' the trees,
Singing and dancing,
In the breeze,
Night descends on scattered leaves,
And the fairies,
Play to their hearts content,
Where they come from,
No one knows,
Are they a myth,
As the legend goes,
Thus capturing a dream,
Only we compose,
Story books which are frequently read,
Tell us, when we are asleep in our bed,
That the fairies in the woodland appear,
And just before dawn, they disappear,
