a poem by Edwin Keith Jepson, UK - poetry writer, author, poet

The garden needs tending,
It's all overgrown,
With weeds sprouting up,
From beneath every stone,
The trees which were fruity,
Have all lost their glow,
And I see from my window,
That it's starting to snow,
The birds have migrated,
And the sky which was blue,
Now looks depressing,
With tinctures anew,
I see from my window,
A picture of gloom,
And with snow everywhere,
How can anything bloom,
I'll be glad when the Spring comes,
And the sky's back to blue,
And the things we all love,
Will come back into view,
