a poem by Tracy Marie Windisch-Mason, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

In the crevice
Of morning
Pale grey stillness
Cocoons you
In the quietness
Nothing moves you
I want to touch you
Where no light ever lived
I want to caress
The veins which were always stilled
And make them give
You are unable to be contained
Simply unrestrained
Outside the rain weaves
So subtle and fleeting
Almost streaming
Almost dreaming
To capture lucid drops
Of you
Within myself
Within the crevice
Of a lovers shell
In the pewter silence
I kiss you in the morning
The good sweet mourning of you,
And never tell
