a poem by Edwin Keith Jepson, UK - poetry writer, author, poet

Rain,wind, and misty grey,
Puddles everywhere you tread,
Grass that was dry,is now wet instead,
What a start to an April day,
Rain and Wind have come to stay,
The Sun's disappeared, not barring their way,
My mind is numb,my hopes are shred,
Will the Morrow be a radiant red,
So I can see a cloudless ray,
Of golden sunshine bouncing off the bay,
Or will the rain mock every spray,
Tis Natures way no matter what,
But if the sun doth shine,
Yonder rains forgot,
