Free

a poem by Tracy Marie Windisch-Mason, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

Free
Of you
Daffodills
Dance
Heady
And sunrise
Like never
Before
Within orange
Open these arms,
So closed before
No more
Naked in
Hesitation
Freedom is
Glorious in hue
Without you
Walk
Out
The door
Painted heartache
Within rainbows,
These steps
Each one
In sunshine,
I take
Within limbs
Dandelion seeds shake
Gossamer in wind
Blindfolded
I have been
In rapture
Leaves turn to
Rust
Within golden
Blossoms
Still life
In capture,
Though the
Best years you
Take
Butterfly wings
Shall brush
And remake
In sunset
Bright orange
You will see
That is the colour,
The colour of me.
