Wildcat

a poem by Tracy Marie Windisch-Mason, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

Unique you are
Breed of your own
In colour
So free
Passing sun
In shade
If I
Come close
Will you run
Through tall grass
Touch
You know
No fingertips
Yet
Rush
Sleek and sublime
Through time
Wild eyes
Not like
The others say
No ferocious beast
Just a
Wanton feline,
Feasting on
These
Whiska treats.
