The Enchantress

a poem by Skye Kerri- Leigh Bagshaw, UK

I have something to confess:
I know the enchantress

She does not mean to harm
Anyone but she likes to charm
People with her enchanting ways
And she will do so for her remaining days

I have something to confess:
I am friends with the enchantress

She does not mean to deceive
Anyone but she likes others and herself to believe
That she is good and whole
And maintains a pure soul

I have something to confess:
I am related to the enchantress

She does not want to enchant
Anyone but she can't
Rein it back
Because it gave her confidence that she had begun to lack

I have something to confess:
I am the enchantress

I do not mean any harm; I never would
But I have always wanted to disarm the partsthataren't good
So I can become confident and maintain a true smile
And I adopted the enchantress style
