Sugar

a poem by Tracy Marie Windisch-Mason, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

Maraschino
Cherry
Above the top
Whip
In
Butterscotch swirl
Land
Upon a
Ice cream
Island
Licorice helicopter
Flakes away
Within cocoa dust
Sexy in
Marshmallow fluff
This dress stirs
Taste
Buds in twirl
Wearing Coconut fur
Place sheer stockings
Upon
Most Everything
Touch
Give In
Desire
So sweet
Wedding cake,
Blushing so
Within
Devils cake
Divine
Devour you
You are mine,
Within slice
And dice
Maraschino,
Just a bluff
For your cakepan
Friends
C(cooking)
I(industry)
We have caught you
As you infiltrate
Within sizzle
And glaze
Ah yes,
You are
The Infidel,
Within reach
Of
Everything,
SUGAR.
