Ice cream man

a poem by Tracy Marie Windisch-Mason, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

Jukebox
In sunshine
Dust
White truck
Sings
Favorite
Ageless song
Where we all
Belong
Ice cream
Through streets
Derelict
Or rich
No matter which
Within smiles
Saucer
Eyes
Hooked
Sunstroked,
Barely bathed,
Barely clothed,
Within nightgowns
Suddenly
Exposed
Out the door
Within the tinny
Ring
We recognize
The lottery sing
Ice cream!
Run
Catch
With exuberance
Straps undone
Get `em
And done
Creamy cool
Five dollar
Suprise
Delicious
As sunrise,
Ice cream
