WHEN WE FISHED ALONG THE POCONO (A FATHER'S DAY POEM)

a poem by James Lee Henry, USA

Dad, Do you remember long ago
When we fished along the Pocono?
All around we sailed in the boat,
Together,on the lake we would float.
We'd drift for hours as we wait,
Casting our lines with tiny live bait.
All day long and into the night,
We fished and fished
Until the fish would bite.
With our poles,we would wind
Catching fish,fish of all kind.
It matters not to me if some days
were good or some were bad,
At least I got to spend those days
With you dad.
I will always remember long ago,
When we fished along the Pocono.
