Love's Culinary Stew ( my first sonnet for my VN friends)

a poem by Nishu Mathur, India

Unlike the broth that wicked witches brew,
Of frogs, lizard legs, a spiders webbed face,
I have cooked loves culinary stew,
Of affection, smiles and a warm embrace.
I have taken large measures of my love,
From deep within my heart, well meaning, true,
Layered with prayers made to Him above,
Blended earnest heart felt wishes for you.
From an Indian summer, poured sunshine,
The color of rainbows to brighten days,
A promised friendship simmered over time,
Should bitter dark thunderstorms come your way.
Sprinkled laughter, hope and joy over this,
I now serve ( garnished ) with a hug and kiss.

( my first sonnet..a simple one, a first attempt, hope to improve).
