ONE MAN AND HIS DOG

a poem by Phillip Joseph Hussey, UK

Man and his dog

Have you ever seen a pig dog?
One that really looks like a hog
Today one emerged from the fog
By Luton park’s marshy bog
This morning by a tree’s fallen log
Amidst croaking from a lone bull frog
He was eating a pie with some grog
His coat it seemed had lots of tog
Those kind used by a pog
The type you don’t want to flog
And you should have seen his clog
Through the early morning smog
Against the landscape’s sog
Honestly this is not just a blog
Neither is it a plog
I saw a man with his blinking dog!
