a poem by Edwin Keith Jepson, UK - poetry writer, author, poet

I'm beginning to loathe this rain
Perhaps it's driving me insane,
But I can always put the blame,
On this awful pouring rain,
Everywhere I seem to go,
Coloured brollies are in the know,
They help to keep us from getting wet,
But the puddles are hard to forget,
And now the wellies are out as well,
Where does it end,
It's difficult to tell,
I may go out and buy a canoe,
And think I'm in Venice,
Admiring the view,
But in the meantime,
It's hard to explain,
Why we keep getting ,this terrible rain,
