DRAGONFLY, WHY DID YOU STOP BY ?

a poem by Westly Alexander Shaw, USA

Dragonfly Dragonfly, why did you stop by?
Harmless
Magical
Beautiful

Little Dragonfly why are you here?
Wings so delicate
Red as a fall leaf
Lite as a feather

So why are you here?
Hovering as if a tiny humming bird!
Flying as if a tiny plane!
Stop and going like cars at a traffic light!
Eyes that seem to see everything!

Little Dragonfly why did you stop by?
Where are those flies that were buzzing by?
Where are those ants that crawled along?
As if by magic, those mosquitoes too, have disappeared.

Dragonfly, Dragonfly, I know why you stop by!
To share the silent with me so loneliness will fly by.
Dragonfly, Dragonfly, I'm glad you stopped by!
