IT’S THAT SIMPLE.

a poem by Amicus Aenigmatica, UK

I found myself alone in thought tonight,
Of all the things together, we have shared,
Times unforgettable, I planned to write,
At length to show you just how much I cared,

Whilst reminiscing, felt a glow inside,
More so than being happy, proudly too,
All overcome with joy and teary eyed,
In being part of something special, you,

Extensively would be a waste, somewhat,
Confessing all my unconditional,
Exuberance indulged means diddly squat,
When lesser word with meaning says it all,

To all you know, you’re confident and shine,
Intelligent, remarkable, (your way)
A blessing in their lives, as too in mine,
You’ve made of me, the man I be today,

It’s that simple.
