Coverted emotion

a poem by daniel chidie, Nigeria - poetry writer, author, poet

Your sight i dare not see once more
Am haunted by the thoughts
You put on me anorak of hopless love
Disdain you do thus willy nilly
When to thy poor wits i abscond
To mend the heart as thou has broken

As the eyes now see thee as sore
in the days of cordial alignment
When pretens wields thy fate
One time i felt subtle for you
Cos ''tis my will for thy shadow to shade mine

Oh..!! I coo the cry
As ye has so dismembered my being
My meek n'mild lads will
Covertly to thy subtle engagement
Crumble as a rabble
