A troubled day

a poem by daniel chidie, Nigeria - poetry writer, author, poet

A brand new dáy
Borne of serrated shadows
Mingling with n'by
The cheerful light of dawn
Motifs pitch high as jingles of low joy...
Oh.!! The dear ageless body?
Lighting the way for eternity
As its shine
?now shone to our tilthing breath
as thus.!! Our fermished wells
Retort on awful gulp
O'the filth'ed air
As now less of savour'd elements
Our heads tipsy
Our eyes blodshot
Our savage eager jaws
Enclaving saracened blades
All conjoined to a twisted temple
Thus..!! To this maelstrom'd day
When all writh to pugnacity..
