Beautiful mother

a poem by Tracy Marie Windisch-Mason, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

Thin as an exhale
Slender as a blade
Her love for
Others
Crushing
Her kindness an aide
Hush,hush...
Child she come rushing
Woman she scorn you
In kindness
Memories burn
In diamond light
Ash burnt
In drunken
Fire
She deserts
Yet wants you
Dance
These flames burnt
Just like veins
Turn face
Change face
Once again
Dance
To stay the
Same
Breath as fragile
Leaf
On fire just the
Life
She left out
Just like art
Human love
Within beating
Of my heart.
