Autumn lament

a poem by Michelle Klemm, Germany - poetry writer, author, poet

Still blossom in the gardens
the gorgeous, colourful flowers,
golden gleam the autumn leaves
in the bright sunlight.
Full of crispy red fruits
still hangs the apple tree,
water fountains purl
merrily in the parks.

But the rays of sunshine
loose power every day,
flowers wither over night,
trees defoliated by the wind.
Winter is now imminent,
long and calm and cold,
for all the lonely souls
it will be a hard time to go.

Barefoot in the rain
Beauty of Nature
Sunday afternoon walk II
