Growing Up

a poem by Tracy Marie Windisch-Mason, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

In
Rust
I fall
Coil like
Autumn leaf
Ice queen
Beautiful
In
December
She
Drifts
I
Crumble
Underneath
She
Is
Youth
Without
Need
Though I
Drape her
In distress
She shakes
Free
Breaks
Lullabies
Into
Song
In
Rust
Sheer love
Held crumpled
For so
Long
Glistens
Within
Snow
Just for her
All life long
