Now You're Called An Angel

a poem by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

Throughout your life you had many names,
Diana, daughter, sister, friend,
and you were great at all of those,
the best that God could send.

Now you’re called an angel,
gracing Heaven with your smile,
a vision of beauty as Jesus’ bride,
walking toward Him down the aisle.

I know your daddy met you,
as Heaven’s gates were opened wide,
and now you’re praising Jesus,
with your daddy by your side.

Even though we will always miss you,
and until God comes we’ll be apart,
but you will remain a loving memory,
inside each and every hurting heart.

Now it’s time to say goodbye,
and tomorrow the sun will rise anew,
but I promise that you won’t be forgotten,
Diana, we will always love you.
