a poem by Leif Phillips, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

on the way to Colonel light gardens
I don’t know if you could imagine
how close to the truth you can live
how precious you can make all memories
how a small stone
can twist your foot
to a view
careless where it waits
gods wind within its fate
planets, the peas in its garden
Colonel light gardens,
a moment in distraction
foo fighters dribbling genius
immaculate
I wait in this forest
i am imaginary
i am this collection of thoughts
existing in you
this view.
