a poem by ROY Douglas KNEALE, UK

I glad declare none of Earthly flora
Can out charm Chantelle or Teodora
Sweet sisters born in the Antipodes
Two gifts from God are daughters such as these!
Though they may doubt my love for them is true
I pray this verse will both of them imbue
With tenderness of mind to match my own
Forgiving every lack of such I’ve shown.
May they together loyal friends remain:
May they their fondest hopes and dreams attain;
May Fate and Fortune kindly pave their way;
May joy and good health bless them every day.
E’en more than this I pray to God above
From time to time they think of me with Love.
