a cure?

a poem by Leif Phillips, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

You are oppression
that’s how
you miss the oppression in the words
darkness not seeing the dark
a tiny light amplified into corruption
through the languages of men
into the darkness of our world
forgiven and condemned
through culture and belief
sold to arrogance and grief,
a cure?
enable wonder in children
instead of stealing it
