MY DAUGHTER'S WEDDING,

a poem by Edwin Keith Jepson, UK - poetry writer, author, poet

Always and forever my pretty girl,
No longer a child, a woman of charm,
Together at your wedding we danced and did whirl,
Happily waltzing in deepest of calm,
I see the white dress, Tiara and curl,
I feel overwhelmed so courteous and proud,
My love for you daughter, sparkles like pearl,
As I see you mingling amongst the crowd,
Cheers from friends confetti they did hurl,
When driven away to your fine honeymoon,
Memories go back, heads in a swirl,
You've finally left your safe cocoon,
But on your wedding day we did twirl,
You were my Princess,I was your Earl,
