First Snowdrop

a poem by Michelle Klemm, Germany - poetry writer, author, poet

Little bunches of snow
still refuse to go,
but the lake so clear
is purling: springtime is near.

Like a wonder arises
this snowdrop out of the ice,
it blossomed over night,
more are soon in sight.

March replaces February,
birds are singing cheerfully.
My heart is filled with happiness,
winter now is taking its rest.

Beauty of Nature
Dreaming of spring
