Walpurgis night

a poem by Michelle Klemm, Germany - poetry writer, author, poet

Dusk, tepid wind
from the north,
tense anticipation
feels everyone.

Wanting to celebrate
the whole night through
with wine and draught beer,
whatever brings us cheer.

Night falls in,
the fire is lighted.
The flickering flame
tells a story of shame.
