Indecision

a poem by Olomolehin John, Nigeria

Wish I could be flexible like daylight
whose body switches to dark colour of the night
without pain
at the command of nature

Wish I could be precise in dreams pursuit
like the mission of a sniper
set, positioned and timed
just to get down the target

Wish I could know per time
which among my weedful fields of endowments
to cultivate or ignore
when now, all selfishly demand urgent attentions
