Autumn Leaves

a poem by Kevin Rottweiler, USA

yes they fall
like a broken waterfall
colorful leaves of
God's love
even when we
don't understand Him
we get resentful
but He comes back
He won't leave us
now autumn leaves
autumn leaves
a cycle of colors
and the caterpillars
cry out
"don't step on my back"
they need a little time
like a poet's rhyme
like a rapper
a dog snapper
a candy wrapper
but the autumn leaves
they leave
but they too
like God come back
and autumn leaves
and a whirlwind of love
comes to us
from Heaven

wet water
Changing Seasons of Rain
Big Goldfish
