wet water

a poem by Kevin Rottweiler, USA

oh soak me
stupid water
from the sky
wet water
of two hydrogen molecules
and one oxygen atom
but I did good
in college chemistry
wished to become a doctor
but got side tracked
and I went to church
yes I went to church
for a new birth
kind of unusual
but usual
now I talk to God
and avoid the doctors
wet water
soak me in
your stupid water
like a baptism
for today
a baptism
of summer rain
to ease the pain
nobody said life
would be easy
but my life
is queasy
sometimes uneasy
just rain on me
Lord, rain on me
and I will be allright

Pit Bulls on Neptune Zirconia
Changing Seasons of Rain
Autumn Leaves
