A day in late summer

a poem by Michelle Klemm, Germany - poetry writer, author, poet

I let the sun shine in my skin,
cause again it's giving everything.
Guess these days will soon be over,
everyone can see the signs of October.

The leaves or changing their colours,
chestnuts and acorns covering the paths.
Animals are busy in the forest,
before they'll lay down rest.

No one can stop the leaves from falling,
everything for winter is preparing.
Pause for a moment, watch the year getting old,
all this will be missing in winter's cold.

Summer
Beauty of Nature
It's becoming fall
