Pit Bulls on the Moon

a poem by Kevin Rottweiler, USA

Look astronauts
they were already here
Pit Bulls on the Moon
eating Twinkies and
Burger King Whoppers
on a Lunar Moon
Nobody barks at the Bulls
they don't know they
are up there
an imitation of Heaven probably
with paw prints of luxury
eating from golden dishes
wearing the best aprons
and working at K-Marts
on the Moon
copying man
imitating man
trying to do the
best they can
pretending it is a holiday
asking for dog treats
with powerful jaws
Pit Bulls on the Moon
nobody up there is unemployed
they all work the Lunar land
a decision of man's hand
No recession
for Pit Bulls on the Moon

American Jesus
Changing Seasons of Rain
Caterpillar Crossing
