a poem by Olomolehin John, Nigeria

Their long gone prime days
were no mere adventures
Therein, their sweats and bleeding
bore the evidences of their burdens

They made out for dreams
tossed by attached chances and lucks

Roles to become achievers hung over them
with high price tags
they strived and became bidders

And a handful of them won
and brought into existence many monumental successes
that stand till date as references
And fertile soils on which our dreams are planted.
