She's A Cowboy's Country Girl

a poem by Linda Bates Terrell, USA

She may not look exactly like a country girl
Though her country heart sings every country song
She may not smile as sweet, or cow girlish as some
Though her friends are guys and pals that tag along
She does not think of my self as a hillbilly
Though her jeans flare only blashy boot cuffs
She laughs just for fun and acts ever so silly
Though silly, her guy, he'd risk is life, no bluffs
She has a heart, its way bigger than the Texas hills
Though when she's angry, she puts any head in a twirl
She may not be all decked out in lace of such a frills
Though in her heart, she's just a full fledged country girl
