Rain on the Caterpillar

a poem by Kevin Rottweiler, USA

rain, rain
on caterpillar backs
getting ready for fall
pumpkins lining up again
I saw the caterpillar grin
it is his time again
going to spend time in
a spun blanket
hiding in a linen basket
of nature's hand
and caterpillar glands
much too complicated
of a life created
to hide in the forest
and only a few can find him
a purpose
a purpose
if we like it or not
a purpose
big or small
is God's decision
and Mother Nature's incision
created beings
for us to be seeing
like a Robert Frost night
with white snow flakes
of marshmellow taste
rain on caterpillar backs
God's love attack

Pit Bull Eating Jello
Changing Seasons of Rain
Hot Water Bottle
