Complex Town

a poem by Kevin Rottweiler, USA

Man
I'm goin'
to Complex Town
where they wear a frown
buildings
skylines
glass and pipes
sulfur gas
from the sewers
men in business suits
wear a frown
as the simple man
lives paycheck
to paycheck
robots
and Star Wars
science fiction
for the taking
mud puddles for the making
popcorn
to feed empty souls
complex town
save our souls

Rain on the Huskies
Changing Seasons of Rain
Simple Town
